Jan Bauch (1898 - 1995) was active/lived in Czech Republic.  Jan Bauch is known for Painting, drawing, illustration, sculpture, printmaking.

Born in 1898 in Prague, Jan Bauch graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and also from M. Švabinský Prague AVU. As a young man he went through the trenches of World War I, which had, of course, had a great influence on his work. From the beginning of his work he was also influenced by cubism, among other things he was a friend of R. Kremlicka.His paintings are characterized by hard work with a brush laying plastically applies color and thus displays his own vision of the world, free from established conventions.
